Holders

Have to recreate the holders I made a few years ago. It will take a while and some experimenting on my part. I signed up for a clay building at the local cultural centre today. This will allow me to experiment with different clay techniques, that I will be able to incorporate into my work.

Hand Made Ceramic Clay Hibiscus

This weekend we went to the Punta Gorda Hibiscus Festival there we bought 16 new hibiscus plants. I will be replicating these in the future. I also joined the Hibiscus guild while I was at it. I even bought a lobster claw Heliconia This I also plan to reproduce. Now that is a labor of love the last ones I made took me over 8 hours each from start to finish...

In production again

Started doing my flowers again today. It took me longer than I thought it would to do the first hibiscus. Normally it would take me roughly an hour to roll cut and free form a Hibiscus flower, today it took me over 1.5 hours to accomplish that feat. I did a total of 4 hibiscus 10 ladybugs and 4 leaves... I will continue tomorrow as my goal for this firing is 10 Hibiscus flowers alike number of ladybugs and enough leaves to compliment the flowers when I set them off on driftwood.
