Planning for a show

I'm starting to plan a showing at my friend Doreen's home. She saw my work and thought a home show would be a great avenue to getting my work the exposure it needs. So now I'm putting all my energy in that direction.

Loading the kiln

I have started loading the kiln. I now have 10 hibiscus packed and waiting.

Did a hand built container with a rose attached I will be glazing this piece and am so excited to see the end results. This would be a new avenue to venture down on my travels through the world of ceramics as I see and experience it.

Newest creations in the works

It took me 20 hours to create these 10 pieces.
And this is just the start. Talk about a labor of Love
;~} I do so enjoy creating each piece. Can hardly wait to
fire these pieces, but I will have to wait on a few more
pieces to ensure I have a full load for my Kiln.

AAAHHH......

It took me 6 hours to make 4 hibiscus flowers and come leaves. I really like this new paper clay, I did not think it would have worked as will as it did. will post new photos of green ware soon.
