Wishing

I am getting a little antsy. I still have flowers to make, and am having a little trouble with time management.
Mom goes down to Jamaica on the 11th and will be able to send me some good driftwood at the start of the new year. I just wish I had a ready source here. But unfortunately I can't. I hope to be firing by early next week the latest...

Did 5 more rose candle holders so far today. This brings my total to 10 or 5 pairs. I would like to do enough to make it worth while firing the kiln, within the coming weeks. Can hardly wait...

Made 5 rose candle holders today. I'm trying a new technique with the petals and am quite pleased with the results. also made an anthurium and set it in a dish.

Made my first rose since I've been back. It went really well only took my 2 hours to do ;~} This one is in a green ware shell that was given to me by the gentleman who sold us my kiln. I will be doing more work this week end.
Had my pottery class tonight, it went allot better this week than last. I enjoyed it. Not sure if it will play a big part in my future, but I can never have too muck knowledge.

I am back in the U.S. and will soon begin working on my flowers . I am having a very hard time finding driftwood, here in SW Florida. Who knew it was going to be this difficult finding them.
But, I have to say I am very excited at the prospect of working in clay again and creating the flowers that have been floating around in my head for the last few months.
